Austin (bassist / vocalist) says " We need to take some time to write a new album, and so this may be the last chance to see us live for the remainder of 2024, also our guitarists Ben Harris' final performance, as he will be focusing on starting his own project and recording his first release."
01/03/24 - More shows , merch , and upcoming release
Its been awhile since our last official website update. Facebook has been our main source of news releases but we've decided to get back on top of updating here as well. That being said, we've added a few dates to the shows page and also added some more merch to our on demand clothing store COLD SUBJECT CLOTHING which you can find by clicking on the MERCHANDISE link. Talks are also in the works for the release of a live album which consists of 10 tracks spanning the bands previous works. 01/01/23 - New guitarist added, upcoming shows, and new merchandise
Embryonic Devourment has added newest member BEN HARRIS on guitar to complete the new lineup. Since the release of their latest album "Heresy Of The Highest Order" with session guitarist Donnie Small the band has been seeking a permanent replacement so that Donnie could focus on his main bands LACERATION and TRECELENCE. The band feel that Ben Harris' abilities, talent, and good nature will be a great addition and the perfect alliance with original members Luke Boutiette and Austin Spence. The new lineup is:

LUKE BOUTIETTE - DRUMS
Also in the forecast is a stream of California dates (See SHOWS) and more to be booked for the outlying future. The band has played a couple dates with the new lineup with "explosive results and an unmatched sound" exclaims vocalist Austin Spence. Stay tuned for more show announcements.
With their latest release "HERESY Of THE HIGHEST ORDER" the band has also re-released some of their previous albums including "Fear Of Reality Exceeds Fantasy" and "Vivid Interpretations of the Void" on LIFELESS CHASM RECORDS. 12/18/2021 - Recording complete - Pre Orders up for 2022 release
The band has finished recording their newest full length album "Heresy Of The Highest Order" and has signed a 3 album deal with the legendary Unique Leader Records. "We are extremely excited and beyond words that we are now signed w Unique Leader. Since i was a young lad i always felt that UL would be the ultimate dream come true and its finally happened! Our whole sound was originally influenced by a lot of the early UL catalogue in particular Deeds of Flesh, Spawn of possession, severed savior, and decrepit birth. Truly honored to finally be on that team"."The cover concept is meant to bring to light some of the possibilities that may exist within the seething underbelly of our current leaders in control. Influenced by the concepts of writer David Icke we wanted to show what it might look like for one their menstrual blood drinking ceremonies which had been theorized by David Icke. He believes the consumption of this stem cell rich elixir allows them to hold their human form ; being that their true form is of a reptilian race from a planet called Nibiru. These beings , according to Icke, have been manipulating the world systems of power for thousands of years. We are open to these possibilities. The lyrics are from the viewpoint of these reptilian beings. I spent many nights channeling their thoughts through a unique interstellar ouija board that i made myself". -Austin Spence

5/25/24 - Embryonic Devourment - Prime Specimens - CD
EMBRYONIC DEVOURMENT Releases a reworking of material from previous releases and brings forth a collection of songs entitled PRIME SPECIMENS. Featuring Hunter Petersen on guitar and his perspective on the riffing, all new solos, and a production captured that can only be described as raw and untampered for a sound that is live and in your face. Sheer complexity and devastating accuracy from a time period in the bands history and lineup that showcase their abilities playing the set list in one single take from their studio in the northern California redwood forest during a cold dark winter. Limited to 100 copies on CD, it is a special and intimate recording for the true collector.
1/25/26 - FESTIVAL DATES ADDED
EMBRYONIC DEVOURMENT has been confirmed for Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 , New Jersey Deathfest 2026 , and the Las Vegas Unalive Festival 2026. The year is shaping up to include a few more dates yet to be announced. The band plans on hitting festivals for the year of 2026 and using the down time in between to fishish writing and working towards another 8 new songs. 10/11/25 - New Guitarist Tenoch Gonzalez
EMBRYONIC DEVOURMENT parts ways with former guitarist Ben Harris after completing the Chronicles Of Lunacy European Tour with Defeated Sanity (January 2025), and proudly welcomes TENOCH GONZALEZ to fill the spot. Vocalist / bassist Austin Spence says "Tenoch is an amazing guitarist and walked into the rehearsal room shredding through our songs with perfection on the very first try. He put on a dynamic performance and nailed every note with clean precision. Me and Luke instantly looked at each other and knew that Tenoch was the right man for the job, and we are extremely grateful to have him onboard". The band expects to play a slew of shows and festival dates in 2026 with Tenoch and is optimistic to move forward with him into the future on upcoming recordings.
